Kayla Hatten, CNP, is an Advanced Practice Provider in General Surgery at Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue. A Spearfish native, Kayla attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She worked her first job out of school in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation as she continued her education through University of South Dakota in Vermillion, receiving a Bachelor of Nursing. Kayla then worked as a Critical Care Nurse/Emergency Care Nurse/Charge Nurse/Surgical Nurse. After working in these roles for 7 years, she obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Mount Marty University in Yankton, SD. Shortly thereafter, joined the General Surgery team at Spearfish Clinic, North Avenue. Kayla enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her very busy family, traveling, animals and caring for patients.
